About Tapping on Fruit
Tapping on Fruit is a casual matching game played on a 9 by 9 fruit grid. Your goal is to reach the score requested for the current level by clearing groups of fruit that share a color and touch one another. A move becomes valuable when it removes at least two pieces, and larger groups give a stronger result.
The game offers two ways to judge neighboring fruit. Normal Mode connects pieces above, below, and beside one another, while Hammer Mode also recognizes diagonal contact. Scores depend on how many fruit disappear and on the level number, so each tap is a small choice about where the best connected group is waiting.
How to Play Tapping on Fruit
Use a mouse click or tap to select a fruit group on the grid.
In Normal Mode, choose matching fruit joined vertically or horizontally.
In Hammer Mode, include matching pieces that meet along any of the eight surrounding directions.
Clear two or more same-colored fruit with one move to earn points and work toward the level target.
Tips & Tricks
- 1Before tapping, scan for the largest connected color group rather than choosing the first pair you notice.
- 2Remember that diagonal links count in Hammer Mode but not in Normal Mode, so adjust your selections to the active rule.
- 3Because the level number affects scoring, favor moves that remove several matching fruit when the target still needs substantial progress.
