About Napoleon Solitaire
Napoleon Solitaire is a classic card puzzle in which you move cards from the lower tableau and the middle stock toward foundations at the top. The rules are simple to learn, but each placement matters because cards must follow suit and rank in specific directions.
A card can join a foundation when it is one rank higher than the foundation card and shares its suit. Within the tableau, cards move onto a card of the same suit that is one rank higher, creating a steady task of organizing the available layout.
How to Play Napoleon Solitaire
Use the mouse to select and move cards from the tableau or stock.
Send a card to a foundation when it is exactly one rank above the top card there and has the same suit.
Move cards within the tableau onto a same-suit card that is one rank higher.
Continue transferring cards upward until all cards from the tableau and stock have been moved to the foundations.
Tips & Tricks
- 1Check both the suit and the rank before moving a card, since satisfying only one condition is not enough.
- 2Look for tableau moves that open access to cards below them rather than using every legal move immediately.
- 3Keep the foundation requirements in mind while working through the stock so a useful card is not placed where it blocks later organization.
