About Classic chess
Classic Chess brings the traditional 8 by 8 board to your browser, with two sides competing through careful piece movement and positioning. Each player commands a full set containing a king, queen, rooks, bishops, knights, and pawns.
The central objective is to trap the opposing king in checkmate, leaving it threatened with capture and no safe response. You can test your decisions against artificial intelligence, play with another person on the same device, or work through chess problems for a more focused challenge.
How to Play Classic chess
