Snakes

Snakes is a retro arcade game about guiding a growing snake through its environment. Collecting food makes the snake bigger, while the goal is to establish it as the largest snake around. Red snakes add opposition to the field, turning simple movement into a contest for space and reputation.

The controls are limited to the four WASD directions, giving the game an immediate, hands-on feel. A spacebar press begins the action, after which every turn affects where the snake can travel and how safely it can reach more food.

Press Spacebar to start the game.

Use W, A, S, and D to move the snake through the environment.

Collect food to increase the snake size.

Avoid letting the growing body or nearby red snakes prevent a useful route.

Continue gathering food while trying to remain the biggest snake.
